I am an experienced and articulate fundraiser with experience of leading multiple fundraising teams at a £100m international development charity. Personally responsible for income of £35m a year across individual giving, legacies and via multiple channels, I also coached and supported the wider fundraising team. No-one better knows how important the numbers are. But in the current climate of increasing public scrutiny and regulation, my earlier background as managing director of an independent firm of financial advisers comes in to play. With a thorough grasp of balancing compliance needs with business outcomes, and above all, maintaining a focus on customers – whether charity supporters or business clients – I am now working with Boards to help them prepare to deliver great fundraising oversight for their charities and with fundraising teams to ensure legacy fundraising is properly integrated across their supporter landscape.
